Soooooo, there’s a lot of great things out there (Avengers, game of thrones, young justice) but nothing is coming close to Legend of Korra. Still hands down the coolest thing out there. They’re 6 eps in, if you haven’t seen it, you should make it a point.

First page, whoohoo! How in the fuck did we get in Australia? Sadly not a lot to talk about here. I’m going with a different hopefully more consistent palette we’ll see how it goes.

I’m having no time for anything awesome, however, I will be playing “journey” sometime this week. Every year there’s usually one downloadable game that blows me away, I think it’ll be that. I’ll tell you next week. I’m not dropping a trailer cause I’m completely blind on the game, I’m told it makes for the best experience. Oh, I did see project nim, great documentary. It’s basically the real version of the first half of rise of the planet of the apes. The experiment was trying to show how similar chimps are to human’s but in the process you see how close to chimps we really are. Brilliant!

So, when I wrote this I researched some of my favorite villians. I wanted to see what I really liked about evil. Here’s some I came up with, feel free to add.

“Li’l ze/Li’l Dice” from city of God- Not for the faint of heart. I love his brutality. The glee in his kill. If you haven’t seen City of God, you really should.

“Joker”… of course – sure, sure, he’s cool in all but the thing I love most about character is his salemanship. He is a zealot who actually believes what he’s sellling. So much in fact that he puts it all on the line to sell his conviction. He never lies, he’s so convinced that what he believes is true he doesn’t have to.

“Azula” from Avatar: Seriously, if you haven’t watched this series, you’re really missing out. I can’t find a good scene, youtube is lousy with Linkin park fan videos. Anyway, Azula always lies. Nothing she says can be trusted. But still, people fall for her shit. It’s because of her confidence. Confidence is a big thing in villainy.

“Woo-jin” from Oldboy: The mastermind, theirs something delightful in a villain that is 100 moves ahead of his protagonist. Again, no scene due to any potential spoilers. If you haven’t seen this yet, we can’t be friends.

“Patrick” from Dead set: There is something so enjoyable about a villain that will do absolutely anything to save his own skin. This scene kind of says it all.

In case you were even remotely suspicious, No, this was not all a dream. Yes, everything happened. I hate that, “it was all a dream” crap. I felt this was where Victor needed to end up eventually, after all he’s crazy.

This week a watched Steven Tobolowski’s Birthday party. It’s awesome. You may not know this but “Tobo”(who you’ve seen a million times and never thought twice about) is a MASTER storyteller. The movie is basically him getting together with his friends on his birthday and telling a few. He has hundreds by the way and they’re fantastic. He is the cultural nexus of the universe. For example, He coined the name “radiohead” True story!
